Members of the Paperweight Collectors Association, including experienced collectors, artists, and gallery owners, are a continuing source knowledge and inspiration for me. In 2009, Carl Carter, a founding member and current president of the Association’s Texas branch, commissioned me to create a 35th anniversary weight. He suggested that I collaborate with Ed Poore , a renowned master cutter, whose studio, The Crystal Workshop, is located in Sagamore, Massachusetts. This I did. The result is a heart-shaped weight featuring delicate flowers in shades of purple and pink that are surrounded by Ed’s exquisite cutting. Since then I’ve worked with Ed on similar projects. Thanks to his skill, my weights gain an extra sparkle, and an added dimension.
